This parking structure’s challenging site – located on a steep hillside along a busy boulevard and fronting an urban park – made for the type of project TWG embraces. The architectural firm’s intent was to create a parking facility that, by design, has as little visual impact on its surroundings as possible. One method for achieving this goal is the extensive use of TWG’s Living Screen® in order to soften the concrete edges, effectively wrapping each elevation in a green envelope as plantings mature. In a relatively short time period, vines have grown lush and the project has earned a Design Award from the Texas Society of Architects for the design firm.
